ONE THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE

High Point is home to over 51 nationalities. These communities that surround High Point - Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, and Asheboro, have a rich culture on their own and together mimic the diversity to be seen in Heaven. One Church in High Point was created to unite these communities and cultures under one roof. One Church started as a multi-ethnic, multicultural, multi-generational, and multi-economic group of families. Through prayer, worship, and God’s direction, we desire to see a family that grows into a single community reflecting every culture, color, class, and background for the betterment of man and for the glory of God.

CORE PILLARS

SEEK

We seek the lost and we teach our community to do so. It’s not only the church staff’s responsibilities, it is also yours. We provide opportunities for you to engage in your community locally and nationally. We intentionally look for those who don’t know Jesus and show you how to do the same.

SERVE

We teach our church to serve locally at the church but also in their community. The church should exist outside it’s walls and to reach the lost we have to serve the local community. We also honor God by serving the local church using the gifts the Holy Spirit has given us.

SEND

One Church is a sending church. Through teaching, training, and discipleship, we plant other churches, send local and national missionaries, and equip you to be a workplace missionary in your home and community.

Beliefs

We believe in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in him alone for eternal life.

We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit.

We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct.

We believe God wills for people everywhere to know him and be made new in Christ.

We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness and loving deeds.

Values

Unity in Diversity: There is intrinsic value in every person. Biblical unity becomes all the more important and beautiful in the light of the wide-ranging differences in personalities, cultures, races, languages, talents, and perspectives. Finding unity and mutual love in Christ eliminates devaluation and deprivation of life to one another.

Big Faith. Big Asks: God tells us that if we have the smallest of faith - the size of a mustard seed - that mountains can move. If we want God to do something big, we have to ask for the big things. Sometimes we ask with “ums”, “if’s”, and with doubts, and sometimes we haven’t asked because we’re trying to get to that place ourselves. God may say “No”, we hope for a “Yes”, and sometimes His response is “Not yet”. We hope that you will grow, as our team has, to have a trusting faith in God for Big Things. We may not have what we’ve wanted or needed because we simply haven’t asked God yet. Let’s lay down our tools, not in ceasing, but to hand them over to God for him to do greater things than we ever can.

GIVE 1 GET 1: We believe that in order to give God our best, we have to take the time to rest. GIVE 1 Get 1 is our focus on Sabbath and rest. We believe that if you are pouring out into others, you need the time and rest to be poured into. This means that we ask you only serve every other week. You serve 1 week and get 1 week to rest and be served.

We Forsake Our Preference for the Sake of the Gospel: We believe that in order to spread the good news of Christ, we must set aside our preferences so that others may enjoy God and glorify Him. That means our preference of language, style, environment, comfort, and themes will not be a hindrance to the expansion of God’s Kingdom.
